Charity Programs
Weekly Sunday worship service and Sunday school program for our children. Various small group Bible studies held in homes, bi-weekly or monthly. Fairview Church supports several home and foreign missions persons/needs with financial contributions. Our Sunday school children continue to sponsor tow orphans in Haiti and Uganda as well as an orphanage in Lebanon. The church provides food hampers at Christmas and other benevolent gifts to needy persons during the year. We meet for an annual picnic and for fellowship meals a few times a year. Our annual Church Retreat on personal growth and development was held in September in Hamilton. As an outreach to the community a Children's Event was held at Easter, a Fall Fair and corn roast was held in October. Also the community was invited for special musical events. We have a unity service with another congregation that worships in the same building on Good Friday. One of our members serve in a mission's position in Asia and another couple serves in Uganda. An associate pastor serves with our youth and young adults and preaches twice a month. A website was developed and is maintained www.fairviewcog.com. Funds were raised for Eva's Place, a shelter for youth and for Oriole Food Space, a community food bank and for a congregation in London that has launched an Abilities Ministry for person with disabilities. Donations are made to a Women's Shelter and Big Brothers organizations on Mother's Day and Father's Day
