Charity Programs
In 2018, we continued with the Bay Street Life group and the Singing Praises life group. We also started a New Life Group. The Bay street life group has positively facilitated spiritual growth and personal development of 12-15 individuals and professionals who live in the core of the city of Toronto. Most of these individuals are singles. We have continued this Bible study and prayer life group to spread gospel and encourage one another with faith in Christ. The Singing Prises life group sings at the Belmont House, once a month. We have about 15 members. We sign to 28 residents with dementia. In addition this group also sings once a month at the 'Out of The Cold' hosted at Yorkminster Park Baptist Church once a month-to about 80-100 homeless guests while they eat dinner at 7pm-through November to April Our newest life group-the New Life Group meets every Sunday at 10 am to learn more about God and the foundations of Christian belief. It comprises about 8-12 members who are new to their faith or seeking to renew their faith. All three life groups have had an annual retreat and once a month social programs. The Singing Praises Life group also had quarterly practices. Two of our members visited Shandong province in China to a) teach an invited pilot English program for one week to 30 kindergarten students in a school b) teach English and songs to 25 children ages 4-15 in a village in the same province. c) visit a school in a village to explore future programs.
