Charity Programs
The mandate of Carefirst Seniors & Community Services Association is to provide a full range of community and social services to seniors and where appropriate, others in needs of services to enable them living a quality and enriched life in the community. The services and programs include: (1) adult day program/renal social support program/Alzheimer day program, (2) Assisted Living Services, (3) Chinese bereavement service, (4) community development program, (5) community support services/program (meal-on-wheels service/transportation/friendly visiting/hospice visiting/security checks/congregate dining program/supportive counseling/information and referral), (6) chronic disease self-mangagement program, (7) diabetes education and ...maintenance program, (8) elder abuse prevention and education/Chinese elder abuse helpline, (9) Home at last/Home first program, (10) personal support/home care/home help services, (11) Seniors Active Living Centres, (12) supportive housing services, (13) social and recreation program, (14) vocational training centre, (15) volunteer development and coordination program, (16) wellness education and health promotion program and (17) Geriatric Assessment and Intervention Network and (18) Exercise and Falls Prevention Program
